Although it’s perfectly okay to wear your hair bare, especially if your jewelry is pretty heavy, most brides need some wedding hair accessories to complete their bridal look. I selected some of my favourite images from the wedding feferity bridal photo gallery to show you the different types of hair candy you will encounter while bridal shopping. Check them out.
Tiaras
Most people think wedding tiaras are either too princess-y or outdated, but they seem to be making a fashionable comeback. To pull off the wedding tiara look, it is important to tone down the rest of your jewelry, that is, go for a simple pair of earrings or necklace so you don’t overwhelm your face and upper body.
Wedding Hair Chains
I know what you are thinking, Kim Kardashian!!!! Yes, she made them popular, but they were being worn by brides way before she got married pregnant divorced. Hair chains (sometimes called headbands) look great on beach wedding brides and brides going for the grecian/goddess look.
Hair Combs
These hair combs are the pure water of Naija wedding hair accessories! They are by far the most popular, and it’s so easy to see why as these hair combs come in all sorts of beautiful shapes and sizes and complement all bridal hairstyles. So you can really never go wrong with them.
Feathered Wedding Hair Accessories
Donning the feather accessory is a great way to add glamour and a beautiful touch to any wedding.
Wedding Headbands
Gorgeous headbands come in so many different forms. You could go for something white and classic as worn by the bride to the left in the image below. Alternatively, you could opt for the second bride’s trendier look.
Hair Pins
Hair pins are another accessory you can’t go wrong with unless you use too many. They are great for the bride who wants to look simple, but elegant and are typically used with other accessories such as hair combs.
Hair Flowers
Flowers are no longer just for flower girls or boho brides. They are perfect for the bride who wants to look very soft and feminine on her big day.
Birdcage Veils
Attaching some short netting fabric to any of the accessories above will transform it into a birdcage veil. These stunning veils are the perfect accessory for the vintage-inspired bride looking to make a bold statement.
If you haven’t had enough inspiration, then check out the photo gallery for more brides in different types of wedding hair accessories. You can also see details of some of the talented makeup artists and wedding photographers who worked with some of the brides.
If only one could wear everything at the same time! I absolutely love every type of accessory, no favourties. Do you have any? Let us know in the comment section below.
