Hello Everyone….I hope you are having a fab week so far. Would you believe October is almost over? Gosh, it’s been one fast year filled with lots of gorgeous weddings and pretty brides getting married ever so stylishly. I’ve selected 28 looks from some of my favourite Nigerian bride pictures and I hope you will be inspired by either their dresses, hair, makeup, poses….something sha 🙂 .
I love everything about Wunmi’s look, especially the illusion cap sleeves of her wedding gown. Her makeup was beautifully done by Shades by Shayo Makeup Artistry based in the US.
Ranti looked fabulous in her monostrap wedding dress. Quite edgy and modern for a bride, but conservative enough to be worn at a wedding……as long as your mother and church are okay with it! Image courtesy of her makeup artist – 3dlooksmakeup based in US.
Naija brides are not playing this year oh. Ifeoma turned on the heat at her wedding with this intricate lace and pearl embellished wedding gown. I love how simple the front of the dress looks, and then the surprise hits you as she turns around. Photos by her photographer, Obi Somto (Nigeria).
Another bad-ass back surprise. Here is Isoken stunning in her Roland Joyce dress.
Ada ditched the traditional rose bouquet, and opted for an alternative flower arrangement – super unique and quite cool. Photo taken by Lagos based photographers – Shollots Studios
Another Nigerian bride Seun said no to conventional roses and yes with a bouquet of white flowers and baby’s breath. Photo by Poshclick Photography (Lagos, Nigeria)
Ruth was quite the bride in her heavily embellished gown which also featured a massive extra long ruffled train. I’m also in love with her hair and makeup which was done by Kemi Kings UK.
It’s always so refreshing to see Nigerian brides in braids. They are almost extinct!
What a pose! Nigerian bride Dami looked super stunning in her simple lace gown and cathedral length veil. Photo by Bandele Zuberi
Angel looked nice in her ruffled gown and cala lilies. Photo by Adebayo Deru Photography
Loving the eye and lip makeup by Dainty Affairs Beauty.
Beauty Cook Studio did a great job with Feyi’s wedding day makeup. Check out the full wedding on Lumi Morgan Photography’s website. You will love it.
This is actually a 2011 bride, but I could not resist slipping her picture in as I’m such a big fan of smooth side-swept chignons and diamond shaped earrings, so this look gets my vote. Kudos to Dainty Affairs beauty for the bridal makeover.
Uche looks like two different brides in her pictures above. The second look with the birdcage veil and lace bolero can easily be transformed into a more fun and laid back look for the reception as seen in the first image without the accessories. Bridal makeover by 3Dlooksmakeup and photography by Fola Lawal.
Joko is the talented creative director and owner of Posh Click Photography. We featured quite a bit of her work in this post. I love the retro curls her hair was styled into by Beauty Cook Studio. And that floral diamante hair pin is such a beauty. A very pretty picture by Bamidaylay Photography.
Beautiful bridal portraits by Genesis Paparazzi.
Okay, I confess, Akosua is not a Nigerian Bride. But Naija Bride, Ghanian Bride….Same difference :-). Loving the orange cala lilies and embellished bouquet wrap.
What’s not to love about her pink lips, pink eyes, and updo? Saydat makeovers did a great job on a gorgeous bride.
What a beautiful potrait! The lace applique on the illusion neckline of her gown is current and super trendy.
I think this picture by Soji Oni Photography speaks for itself!
Naija bride Njideka proves that it is possible to be beautiful without baring it all in her elegant Elie Saab cape wedding dress.
One of my favourite looks! I don’t know if it’s the dress, bouquet or hair, but I do know that bride Rimi looked flawless! Kemi Kings was her makeup artist for the day.
I love Busola’s elegant look. Her dress fitted her to perfection, and her hair looked quite natural. Love it.
You can never go wrong with a vera wang dress!
Purple is such a bold and deep colour, so it’s always a good idea to pair it up with much lighter neutral colours as Funke did with her bouquet.
Crystal is another one of my favourite brides. She clearly has really good taste as seen in her entire wedding on her photographer Wale Aristoz’s website. Hands down one of my favourite brides and weddings this year.
And finally, my favourite bride so far….Abike. She looks elegant and timeless. Nothing beats that.

Please can u write an article for court dresses ideas? Thanks. P.s iv been rummaging this site for sometime now, my wedding is in december and iv been looking for simple, chic and classy white gown ideas for the court wedding/dinner. I’m also dying to wear something out of the norm for the traditional, I’m short of ideas. Keep doing a great job. If I were having a white wedding, ild definitely have problems picking a style out of all these above, simply breath taking

Thanks for chipping in Wendy. It’s definitely something that will be frowned upon by all as it is quite deceitful. Makeup artists who are starting off should try freelancing and using their friends and family members as their first clients. Take pictures of this and put it on different sites and social media groups. Also try partnering with wedding photographers who need makeup artists for styled shoots. That way you can get free and nice professional images.

Hi Berlinda,I think the thot of using peoples jobs to get jobs for yourself should even be a”personal thot”instead of bringing it on this media. If its that easy no one will want to work, you’ll have to use what you have to get what you want**hence get your own face done&use that to get jobs not ppls sweat. That is a no-no,you might get sued of plag***I dunno why my face goes “long”about this issue**sure cause I’m a long time practicing”Makeup Artist” Pls stop dishing out what you can’t eat**phew!

Hi Silky. Sorry we don’t have these details. In the next couple of features on wedding dresses, we will make an effort to feature Nigerian wedding dress designers. We have feaured one in the past, Love, Tims by I Do Weddings – https://www.weddingfeferity.com/bridal-gowns-in-nigeria/. They are based in Lagos. You may find something you like by also checking out their website – idoweddings.com

Hi Berlinda, is it possible to know where these lovely brides get their dresses. I was hoping there would be a link on that to purchase beautiful gowns in Nigeria.
Sayo C. says
Hi Berlinda, Neither Wedding Feferity nor the Editor approves of you using some or any of the images on this site on your facebook page to get clients.
We do not own the images, and endeavor to give credit to all makeup artists and photographers when we can. Feel free to approach the makeup artists to find out if you can use their images to get clients for yourself.

Hi Grace…I would have loved to point you to a store, but unfortunately I don’t know the details. Here in Nigeria, these traditional outfits are custom made by tailors or seamstresses who are so hard to track down because of the informal nature of their businesses. So sorry we can’t provide more info.
